Swart-Wilcox House Looks at Women’s Suffrage in Otsego County
The historic Swart-Wilcox House in Oneonta continues on with their Summer Speaking Series. This Sunday, August 9, the featured presenter will be Sharon Stuart. She is the Otsego County Historian.
Her talk is titled "Women's Suffrage in Otsego County. Legendary women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony actually came to Oneonta three separate times, 1855, 1874 and 1884. Ms. Stuart has researched these visits and will share her stories with the public.
The program is from 1-3, all COVID-19 safety protocols will be adhered to. Bring a folding lawn chair (this is an outdoors event) and wear a mask. This will be cancelled in case of rain.
