The Susquehanna SPCA is getting help in its efforts to raise money for a new animal shelter – and it’s from outside Otsego County. The Staffworks Fund of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties has pledged to match donations up to $250,000 which means a half a million dollars could be raised for the new facility on Route 28. Staffworks owner Anita Vitullo is well known for her philanthropic efforts at other animal shelters. So far Susquehanna has raised $1.25 million toward the $2 million project.
