ONEONTA, N.Y. —Two area residents were re-elected to the College at Oneonta Foundation Board of Directors on Oct. 20.

Re-elected to the volunteer board of directors for a second four-year term beginning in January 2017 were Reggie Knight ’74 of Fly Creek and Bill Vining ’81 of Laurens. Knight is the vice president of medical affairs of A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta. Vining is a professor and chair of the SUNY Oneonta Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.

Also elected to the board were Jerry Bermingham ’83 of Mamaroneck, N.Y., (re-elected for a second term) and new members Dean Davis ’84, of Naples, Fla., and Burton Relethford ’09, of Medford, N.Y.

The State University College at Oneonta Foundation Corporation was established in 1982 to raise, receive and manage charitable gifts and grants to SUNY Oneonta. Since then, it has invested in academic excellence at SUNY Oneonta by funding student and faculty research opportunities, scholarships, awards and lectureships that bring distinguished speakers to Oneonta. Other college programs and facilities supported by the Foundation include the Center for Multicultural Experiences, Milne Library, Alumni Field House, Biological Field Station, Cooperstown Graduate Program and Martin-Mullen Art Gallery.
