Winter Storm Gail has delivered our listening area a body blow which has affected everyone.  With nearly 30" of snow piling up throughout the Tri-County region, schools, organizations and business have all been affected with them closing entirely or at least severely modified.  According to National Weather Service Observer Dave Mattice:  "I have heard of reported snowfall totals topping 35 and even 40 inches in the Binghamton areas."  Traffic is problematic at best as the storm tapers off this afternoon and the road crews can begin tackling the back roads and highways.  Be careful!  For closings and cancellations visit our website at www.cnynews.com and click on the tab at the top.
