Spratley Found Not Guilty In Attempted Murder
A former corrections officer from Greene is found not guilty of of attempted murder and assault in connection with a 2015 shooting, On Thursday Judge Frank Revoir announced the acquittal of Wayne Spratley in the non-jury trial saying the people failed to meet their burden of proof. Prosecutors said Spratley shot Jack Alexander outside a Norwich tavern in what they characterized as a hate crime but the defense said Alexander was the one who started the incident.
