Residents of Sidney are invited to a meeting to learn about the community's plan to rebuild from flooding and to prevent flood problems in the future.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. tonight at the Sidney Civic Center. The meeting is hosted by the “Sidney New York Rising Community Planning Committee,” which has been funded by the state to come up with a long term plan.

The committee hopes that all community members will attend, especially those affected by past flooding. With community feedback and development of a plan, the village could gain access to more than $3 million in grants for the work.
