Sen. Seward Reacts to Dart Parole Denial
State Senator James Seward issued a statement after the state parole board denied the release of David Dart who was convicted in the 1989 death of 18-year-old Jill Gibbons in Oneonta. Seward says Dart is a cold-blooded killer who has shown no remorse and needs to stay in prison. Dart received a 25-years-to-life sentence and has been up for parole since 2014. Seward says he wants to extend the period between parole hearings beyond the current interval of two years or less.
