State Senator James Seward announced that New York will be continuing its Rollover Protection System Rebate Program for farmers installing equipment on their tractors. $250,000 was put into the 2018-2019 state budget to cover the costs. Seward says the funding was left out of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposed budget but he teamed with other upstate lawmakers to ensure the program was part of the final spending plan. It was established by the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health in 2006.
