The St. Lawrence River region of Upstate New York is one of the Empire State's greatest treasures.  The "Seaway Trail" offers much in history and beauty and there are many small towns along the route that are just perfect for exploring.

This gallery looks at a handful of places for a visitor to find a great meal along the journey.  From Cape Vincent to Massena, this list showcases fine restaurants, a fancy steakhouse, a buzzy and fun Tiki Bar, an exquisite riverside Italian restaurant, a place with mouthwatering burgers, and more.  Some are about to open for the season, and others are open all year round.  And all of them are excellent!

We know that there are plenty of good places to dine, drink, and explore in this most northern part of New York State.  We encourage you to look at the list, and if you don't see your favorite stop-by place, please visit our Facebook page and give it a shout out.  We really do want to hear from you.  It is our hope that with this list as a starter, and your contributions to it, we can come up with a real "dining guide" for the thousands who are planning to come here for fun, family events, festivals, or even just a visit to the world famous Boldt Castle.

So, will we see you in the Thousand Islands area this summer?
