22nd District Congressman Anthony Brindisi is backing a bill to stop congressional pay raises. On Monday an amendment passed the House Rules Committee to stop the raise which was part of the Legislative Branch appropriations section expected to pass the House next week. Over a dozen other representatives joined Brindisi in pushing for the amendment. The freshman representative says too many hardworking Upstate New Yorkers still struggle to make ends meet and the last thing they should do is give Washington a pay raise.
