Propane Truck Crash Claims Life Of Delhi Man

A propane truck crash on Wednesday claimed the life of a Delhi man. According to New York State Police, 62 year old Edward M. Walley Jr. went off Town Brook Road at Red Rock Road in the town of Stamford, resulting in the truck going into a ditch and hitting a utility pole, with the tanker ultimately landing on its side. Investigators say that Walley was not wearing his seat belt. The reason for Walley driving off the road is unknown and the investigation continues.  Firefighters and Department of Environmental Conservation workers were called to the scene but it’s not clear if any of the propane leaked.
