Governor Andrew Cuomo has set up a special commission to look at cutting taxes in the Empire State.

The bi-partisan group will be headed up by a couple of familiar names: former Republican Gov. George Pataki and former Democratic Comptroller and Governor’s candidate H. Carl McCall.

The two have until Dec. 6 to come up with recommendations to cut taxes in time for the Governor’s State-of-the-State message.

The rest of the panel is made up of former state officials, business and union executives and members of the state’s education community.
