Saturday, it was a very different 4th Annual Oneonta Pridefest event held by the Oneonta Pride Alliance. Organizers turned it into a virtual on-line event due to pandemic constraints. This annual event is held to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising in 1969 which is considered the beginning of the gay rights movement according to history.com.

Typically, Oneonta Pridefest features a parade and festival in Neahwa Park with family friendly activities. This year, the virtual event featured a variety of speakers, music, a drag show and more.

Next year, organizers are looking forward to holding the event back in the park as usual.
