Gary Laing, owner of The Shipping Room, is in the process of becoming the new owner of the Oneonta Outlaws, a collegiate wood bat baseball team.

Steve Pindar, president of operations for the Outlaws, asked the Oneotna Common Council on Tuesday to approve the resolution of the sale.

Common Council agreed, approving the sale unanimously.

Present owners Keith Rogers and Dan Scaring, who have owned the team since 2009, will sell their interest to Laing. Pindar will remain in his position under the new ownership.
