Oneonta Man Charged With Child Sexual Assault

An Oneonta man was arrested Sunday on multiple charges, including child rape. According to New York State Police, 19-year-old James Hamilton made sexual contact with a child less than 15-years-old in the town of Otego. Hamilton was arraigned on felony rape and criminal sex act charges along with endangering the welfare of a child. He was booked into the Otsego County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond. Hamilton will appear in court at a later date.
