The City of Oneonta has been awarded $1.8 in state money to implement water system upgrades. Part of the funding is a $1.2 million Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grant to finance the costs of relining existing aged cast iron raw water transmission main to improve flows and structural integrity.

Governor Cuomo’s office announced that so far $225 million in Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grants have been awarded which leveraged over $1 billion for over 120 projects in New York State.
