The city of Oneonta announced it will begin accepting applications for the community gardens program from city residents only beginning Friday, April 5.

Twenty-four plots are available and will be awarded to patrons on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one plot will be awarded per household.

In order to apply, prospective patrons must submit a completed application form and a check or money order payable to “city of Oneonta” to the recreation office located adjacent to Hodges Pond in Neahwa Park.

The resident fee for the 2013 season is $25.00. Application forms are available at the recreation office and online at oneonta.ny.us/recreation.

If plots are still available on Friday, April 26 the recreation office will begin accepting applications from non-city residents. The non-resident fee is $50.00.
