NYSEG Holiday Safety And Efficiency Tips

NYSEG is offering tips to help save energy and prevent electrical fires during the holiday season. Many fires start as a result of real trees not being kept watered or due to electrical issues with lights and decorations. Officials say for best water absorption cut away an inch from the base of the tree and be sure to water it daily. For lighting use LED bulbs which save energy and turn off lights before heading out or going to bed.
