Nik Wallenda Tightropes Across The Grand Canyon On Discovery Channel [VIDEO]
Without a safety tether, net or harness, Nik Wallenda of the famous Flying Wallenda Family tightroped across a quarter-mile gap of the Grand Canyon.
Here is a report from CNN on the event:
Many central New Yorkers may not realize the Wallendas have a long history of performing at Enchanted Forest in Old Forge, NY.
The Enchanted Forest Water Safari website says as the park began to grow in the 50's, 60's and 70's, the Wallenda Family often performed as part of the daily circus show.
In 2005, Tino Wallenda and family returned to the Enchanted Forest celebrate its 50th anniversary.
