How do you pick the place that serves the best chicken wings in New York State? You don't.

Everybody has a favorite. From the local tavern down on the corner, to the big franchises, and even to the legendary western New York restaurants that lay claim to some of the earliest chicken wing purveyors (like the Anchor Bar or Duffs in the Buffalo, New York area). They are all great and nobody really claim the title of the BEST.

We have published lists like this before and our readers really enjoy reading about these places. Every once in a while we will revisit the list and add some of new ones. Over the past several years we have heighted between 35-40 places that serve a darn good hot wing,. Here is another list for your reference of places to go.

A Delicious List of 16 of the Best Hot Wing Restaurants in Central NY

As an Upstate New York travel writer I am on the road in the region some 30-40,000 miles a year. And along the way I have stopped at hundreds of places to eat over the last 15 years. Now, my go to meal is always Italian, but...if I am not in the mood for a full sit-down meal I am always good for a bowl of hot wings in a tavern or inn. Here are 16 of the best wing joints in Upstate New York. I have kept the big chains and franchises off the list although they are for the most part excellent (places like Dinosaur BBQ, or Tullys). This list shines the light on smaller, independent, out of the way places that often get missed in the "Best of..." contests and polls, and yet are truly putting out some epic wings. Try them out!

Every year, as December comes to an end, you will see a recap of the names and faces of people who died in that year.

Here are ten famous people who died in 2024. Celebrities all. On here you will find multiple Oscar winners, sports figures, comedians, TV stars, and a few much lesser known folks (but with great stories). One of these celebrities I actually had the chance of meeting, and you will see a photo of me with him.
