NBT Bank Offers Top Tips On ‘Get Smart About Credit Day’
It is Get Smart About Credit Day and NBT Bank is focusing on promoting top tips for young adults, and all consumers, to best manage and effectively use credit. The American Bankers Association’s Get Smart About Credit program, now in its 14th year, is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who help young people develop responsible credit habits by increasing awareness of important financial obstacles they face, such as building good credit habits, knowing their credit scores and protecting their identities.
In addition to supporting Get Smart About Credit Day, NBT Bank’s Strive® financial literacy program brings financial education to young people year-round through in-classroom and online financial education that helps youth and young adults grow their money skills. Since launching the program in 2012, the bank has conducted more than 800 presentations to school districts and community groups.
