Local Traffic Stop Leads to South Carolina Man’s Arrest

A man from South Carolina has a March 19 court appearance after being pulled over and found in possession of a 15-round handgun. Police say Devin Smith of Irmo South Carolina was stopped on I-88 in Worcester on March 1 and the gun was found in the glovebox. New York law prohibits gun magazines with more than 10 rounds. A further investigation yielded a small quantity of marijuana. Smith faces a felony weapons charge and a drug possession charge.
