Lemister Honored For Volunteer Emergency Service Career in Cooperstown
Last week the Cooperstown Emergency Squad celebrated the nearly 50-year career of
Fred Lemister who responded as a volunteer to almost 10,000 emergency service calls. According to AllOTSEGO, Lemister also serves as a County EMS educator meaning he’s trained many of the current Otsego County EMTs, along with others from nearby counties. Although he has retired from the Cooperstown Emergency Squad, Lemister says he still plans to be an active member of the fire department in some capacity.
