Our sister station in Utica, WIBX, is reporting that Jon Bon Jovi's daughter, Stephanie Bongiovi, has been arrested at Hamilton College after heroin, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia was found inside her dorm room.

Bongiovi, 19, a student at the college, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. She was also charged with one count of possession of marijuana, a violation.

Schoolmate Ian Grant, 21, was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were released back to the college.

Further, People Magazine is reporting that Bongiovi is hospitalized after a possible overdose and is expected to be released Wednesday afternoon.

Hamilton College released the following statement in response to the story:

In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy. The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters.
