Some Of Hollywood’s Greatest Talent Performed At This Hudson Valley Resort

New York state is truly one of the most beautiful states. We can visit New York City with its close proximity from the Hudson Valley area. Also, we can take in the natural beauty that’s all around us and visit breathtaking views in upstate New York as well.

We aren’t the only ones who love this area. The Hudson Valley area has become a place where celebrities not only visit but also reside in. Over the past couple of years, there have been many TV shows and movies filmed all throughout the area.

It’s exciting because you never know who you’ll meet!

Which Celebrities Have Ties To The Hudson Valley?

Some celebrities don’t share as much as others while some are loud and proud about their location. Derek Jeter had a house in the Hudson Valley which was later for sale. His former castle is now listed on AirBnB which is fun!

Local business owners and Hudson Valley residents, Paul Rudd and Hilarie Burton are all about community. They own Samuel’s Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck, NY and take pictures with their employees on social media. They seem to enjoy the area and being a business owner within Dutchess County.

I had the opportunity to meet Kelsey Grammer. He is one of the nicest people that I’ve ever chatted with. He shared that he lives in upstate New York and also owns Faith American Brewing Company. Grammar’s company is out of

Historical markers shared interesting stores of New York state. We can learn from these markers that are usually on our local roads or even at businesses in the area.

The Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project installed a new marker for us to see. It’s located at the Ethelbert B. Crawford Library on Broadway in Monticello, NY. The Borscht Belt community

I learned a lot when I visited the Borscht Belt Museum in Ellenville, NY. It highlighted the rich history of the Borscht Belt community in the Catskills. These vacation spots included bungalows and hotels. It was fascinating to see notes, pictures and even videos of the hotels and resorts from many years ago

The Borscht Belt area was a place where entertainers would perform and at times, get recognized. 

Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal And More Performed At This Catskills Resort

The Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project in Monticello highlighted some of Hollywood’s stars and how they relate to the Hudson Valley. This marker shared that Kutscher’s Country Club was a country club/resort within the Catskills. It was also known for its entertainment and sports spots.

Muhammad Ali along with Wilt Chamberlain were some influential figures that were once at Kutcher’s Country Club. Entertainers such as Jerry Seinfeld, Joan, Rivers, Billy Crystal and more also spent time here.

I love watching Seinfeld episodes and I got excited when I learned about this. At the time, it was also known for being one of the longest running resorts.

Kutcher’s Tribeca shared that some of these Hollywood stars,

“either honed their craft or got their start in The Catskills.”

I love learning about the history within New York state especially when it relates to celebrities. Be sure to visit this marker in the Monticello area.
