Get Your Pizza Even Faster With New Concept In Downtown Albany
If there's one thing New York does better than anywhere else, it's pizza. At this point, the Italian-American staple is so iconic to the state it could qualify for mascot status.
There's no shortage of places to get a slice in the Capital Region, but a new concept is coming to Upstate, and it plans to revolutionize how you get your pizza.
Meet Steven Weiss
This new venture is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based entrepreneur Steven Weiss. Through his career, Steven has focused on one thing and one thing only: innovation. He believes every industry, no matter how big or small, can continue to get better.
He takes pizza seriously, viewing the food the same as he would a piece of code or quarterly report. He's on record stating:
"I don’t just eat pizza — I study it, perfect it, and treat every slice like it’s serious business."
This mentality led to his latest innovation that's taken off in NYC, and he hopes that Albany, and the Capital Region at large, will respond the same way.
It's Not Delivery... It's Pizza Vending
Weiss' newest innovation is one New Yorkers will either love or hate: Pizza Vending Machines. This idea may sound ludicrous, but it has gained some traction. The concept is simple: Base ingredients for a pizza are frozen, and when ordered on the machine's 55" touchscreen, will be put together and placed in a two-stage oven by the machine's AI until a perfect pie is spit out within minutes.
The machine will be installed by the end of October at 80 State Street in Albany.
