5th Capital Region Chick-Fil-A Opening Soon & 6th On The Way
If you have been waiting for Chick-fil-A to land in Latham, the wait is almost over. The popular chicken chain says its long-planned location at the former site of The Brick House Tavern near the entrance to Latham Farms is nearly ready to open.
There Have Been Many Delays
This location has taken years of planning and the rearranging of traffic patterns in this part of Latham near Troy-Schenectady Road.
Jeremiah Mills Lamptey will be running this new Chick-fil-A location. He first connected with the brand through its leadership development program, which trains future operators by giving them experience at locations across the country.
Lamptey grew up in Ghana and says the opportunity helped bring him to the Albany area. He says his goal is to build a place where employees can grow into leaders and where customers feel truly welcomed when they walk in.
What To Work At Chick-fil-A?
The Latham restaurant is already starting the hiring process. They expect to bring on about 100 to 120 employees in a mix of full-time and part-time roles.

And Latham may not be the only new Chick-fil-A in the Capital Region.
The company says it is also working toward opening another restaurant somewhere in the area by 2029. No location has been announced yet, but that has already sparked some speculation.
Some people still wonder if the Crossgates area could be a possibility after a recent development proposal nearby looked a lot like a Chick-fil-A-style design.
For now, though, Latham is getting ready for its first wave of chicken sandwiches and waffle fries later this spring.
