You may remember the case of Eugene Palmer, one of America’s most sought-after fugitives. Investigators say Palmer shot and killed his daughter-in-law back in 2012 before vanishing without a trace.

 

Now in his 80s, he was featured w while back on America’s Most Wanted, where officials revealed a troubling possibility — he could be hiding somewhere in Upstate New York.

Other Fugitives with Ties to the Capital Region

That update led us to take a closer look at other fugitives with ties to our region. What we found is unsettling: several individuals wanted for serious crimes have connections to Upstate New York, including areas right here in and around the Capital Region.

Some cases date back years, while others are more recent — but all share one thing in common: these individuals remain at large.

We’ve put together a gallery highlighting 11 of New York’s most wanted fugitives with local connections. While it’s important to stay informed, it’s equally important to stay safe.

Authorities stress that these individuals should be considered armed and dangerous. If you recognize anyone or have information, do not approach them. Instead, contact the DOCCS Office of Special Investigations or your local law enforcement agency.
