Albany knows that better than most cities in the United States, and one of our most infamous traditions is finally getting a comeback after 15 years...
The 2011 Albany Riot
It's the morning of March 12th, 2011. College parties have been running since the night before, and they're not stopping now. Multiple houses across Hudson Avenue are throwing parties, pregaming for the parade later that day. Unfortunately, things started to get out of hand... fast.

The separate parties began to merge into one, and soon, property was being destroyed, cars were being flipped, beer bottles were shooting out of crowds like a mortar launcher. It was chaos. Eventually, Police helped calm the crowds down, but it was too late. The "Kegs and Eggs" party that had kept the weekend afloat for so many years was officially cancelled by the city of Albany. Until now.
Kegs and Eggs 2026
The people kept asking, and the city's finally delivered... sort of. Kegs and Eggs is back in 2026, but it won't look like the event you remember. The Copper Crow and The Hollow Bar and Kitchen, located in Downtown Albany, are bringing the event back under their own rules.
The Copper Crow kicks it off, with Breakfast & Beers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 14th, followed by Kegs & Eggs at the Hollow Bar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For $29, you get access to their buffet and a pint of green beer to kick off St. Patty's weekend in style.
