Amsterdam ItaliaFest

Taking place on Saturday, September, 12th at 1 Bridge Street in Amsterdam, New York is ItaliaFest! The City of Amsterdam will be bringing in vendors, rides, and live music to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Italian people.

The event runs from 11a.m. to 9 p.m., and will host a series of artists, as well as a Spaghetti Eating Contest. The lineup for the day is:

• Italian Karaoke with J & J Entertainment - 11 a.m.
• Music for Life - 2 p.m.
• Doug Ferony - 6:30 p.m.

Little Italy Street Fest

On the same day, September 12th, Schenectady will also be hosting their Italian Cultural Festival: The Little Italy Street Fest! It will take place at Union St & N Jay St in Schenectady from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

There will be plenty of themed games and vendors, like Pin the Pepperoni on the Pizza and Build Leaning Tower of Pisa, as well as the Italian Cultural Heritage tent, which will allow you to learn more about the culture being celebrated.

The music lineup is as follows:

• The Rogues - 12 p.m.
• Anthony LaBarbera - 2:30 p.m.
• Ed Clifford “The Human Jukebox” - 5:30 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public.
