Sheriff: Hagaman Man Found Hiding in Closet After Threatening Family
Menace in Montgomery County
A dangerous domestic situation in Montgomery County ended safely Sunday night thanks to quick work by deputies and a sharp-nosed K-9.
According to Sheriff Jeffery T. Smith, deputies were dispatched to a home around 8:05 p.m. on March 8th after a woman reported that a man inside the residence was threatening her and her children with a knife.
The suspect was identified as Jordan X. Ramirez, 35, of Hagaman.

The caller told authorities she had retreated into a locked room with her children while Ramirez was still attempting to gain access.
Ramirez Was Hiding Inside the Home
When deputies arrived, the suspect was no longer visible. Officers safely removed the woman and her children from the home, but believed that Ramirez was still hiding somewhere inside the residence.
To locate him, deputies secured the home and called in a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit.
Deputy Warner and K-9 Hanz began searching the residence and quickly located the suspect hiding inside a closet. Authorities say he was safely taken into custody without further incident.
