As a Clifton Park resident, the Cookie Factory was one of the first businesses we started frequenting over the years when my family moved there a decade ago.

Cookie Factory To Close After 20 Years
On Facebook yesterday (Monday, August 24), the Cookie Factory owners posted a heartfelt message to their Facebook page announcing they are closing both of the bakery's retail locations in Clifton Park and Troy.
The Cookie Factory letter says:
After 20 years, it’s time for us to say goodbye. When Joe and I started The Cookie Factory back in 2006, we never could have imagined where that little dream would take us. What began as a bakery grew into something much bigger than we ever expected and, along the way, we had the incredible privilege of becoming part of the lives of so many people.
Chris and Joe were especially appreciative of their customers over the years, thanking them for all their "trust" and "support" year after year and for being the engine that made "The Cookie Factory what it became." They also asked that while remembering the cookies, fans remember the people and special atmosphere around the bakeries.
As a Cookie Factory fan, I speak for all of your customers when I say you will be missed!
Thankfully, we will still be able to taste the sweet creations we have come to love over the years. While the Cookie Factory's retail locations are closing, their cookies will still be available locally, including at Hannaford and Stewart's.
