As such, the New York Department of Health suggests boiling your water before drinking if you believe something is off. Boil Water Advisory Troy

On March 16th, 2026, City of Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello announced that a Boil Water Advisory would be put in place for certain areas in the city.

Miami Estates, Hialeah Dr. & Grange Rd. are the areas meant to be following this advisory, and they're meant to start complying on March 17th. The length of the advisory is undisclosed, but residents will be alerted when it is lifted.

In the meantime, boil your water before use, and drink as much bottled water as you can in order to avoid any slip ups.
