From Albany to Crossgates: Woman Accused of Bizarre Tire Iron Rampage

What New York State Police say happened across parts of the Capital Region on Friday morning sounds almost too bizarre to be true.
In less than 40 minutes, an Albany woman allegedly traveled across the area, stopping her car in traffic, getting out with a tire iron and damaging vehicles belonging to complete strangers.
According to the NYSP, she did it five separate times.
33-Year-Old Albany Woman Arrested
According to the report, 33-year-old Davia D. Morrison of Albany was arrested following a series of incidents on August 28th that stretched from Albany to Guilderland.
- Police say the first happened around 9:13 a.m. on Southern Boulevard in Albany.
- Six minutes later, another incident was reported on I-787 southbound.
- Then came I-90 westbound at approximately 9:30 a.m., followed by I-87 southbound in Guilderland around 9:37 a.m.
- Finally, at approximately 9:48 a.m., police say another vehicle was targeted on Crossgates Mall Road.
What's She Accused of Doing?
According to State Police, Morrison was driving a gray Honda Accord and allegedly used a similar method each time.
Police say she would stop her car in a lane of travel, forcing the vehicle behind her to stop. Morrison would then allegedly get out carrying a tire iron, strike the other vehicle multiple times, get back into her Honda, and drive away.

Investigators say Morrison did not know any of the victims, and the incidents allegedly occurred without explanation.
Two Vehicles Had Children Inside
Even more frightening, police say two of the targeted vehicles had children inside. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, although State Police say the incidents caused thousands of dollars in vehicle damage.
Morrison was eventually located near Holland Avenue and taken into custody by Albany Police.
And apparently, the five incidents weren't the end of the story.
Police say Menands Police also arrested Morrison in connection with a similar incident in their jurisdiction. After she was processed and arraigned on the State Police charges, she was turned over to Watervliet Police for additional pending charges related to similar incidents there. Morrison faces numerous charges from State Police.
