Albany Churches Are Hosting A Gun Buy Back To Keep The City Safe
Gun violence is one of the hottest topics in America these days. Whether intentional or unintentional, guns kill nearly 1,000 per year in New York State.
Many gun owners in New York have more than they need, and many fear their children getting into their collection and harming themselves, so Albany has put together an answer...

What is a Gun Buy Back?
The concept is extremely simple: you bring in old or unused firearms, and the collection agency will pay you for them so that they can properly dispose of them. Many patrons who come to these events are simply getting rid of unwanted firearms, but that's not all they'll take.

If your firearm is faulty, defective, or straight up illegal, they will still be accepted by the program. The goal of these is to get as many of these weapons off the street, so they'll take anything. They typically pay anywhere from $50 to $200 per firearm, in either gift cards or cash.
Albany Gun Buy Back
Some churches across Albany (Victory Church, Albany SNUG and Come Connect Church) will be getting together for a Gun Buy Back event this July. They have stated that their hope is to stop gun violence in the city.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 118 Quail Street in Albany. If you have unwanted, defective, or illegal firearms you want to get rid of, this is the event for you. Get rid of the junk, and get some moolah while you're at it!
