Albany’s Radio Station Bans Roger Waters After Disrespectful Ozzy Comments
Roger Waters has been a very outspoken and controversial figure in music for years. Through his art he inserts his opinion on what is going on with the world, but now his opinion and big mouth have gotten him into trouble.
In a time where everyone is paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne after his death, Roger Waters instead decided to spew hatred and disrespect about the Prince of Darkness. Ozzy is one of the most influential figures in rock music, and Roger Waters is also a major influence, to give him proper credit. So you would think there would be some respect, but Waters obviously can't do that.
He said, according to Ultimate Classic Rock, he brought hundreds of years of idiocrasy and nonsense to pop culture. He also had some very rude remarks about Black Sabbath.

Jack Osbourne, Ozzy's son, responded with a well worded Instagram post that we couldn't agree with more.
We've decided that here at Q105.7/103.5 we will stand with the family of Ozzy Osbourne. Effective today, September 3, 2025, Roger Waters, and music associated with him, is effectively banned from our station until further notice. We hope that Roger uses this as a moment to reflect on his words and how much weight they carry.

Q105.7 and 103.5 prides ourself on being the Capital Region's Classic Rock station. We want to highlight the rock n roll music that paved the way for this generation and Ozzy Osbourne might be one of the biggest, if not biggest, influences in rock n roll. Not only being a pioneer of heavy metal, but bringing OzzFest to the masses the showcase up and coming bands to help put them on the map.
Roger Waters could take a lesson from Ozzy. There's a reason why he's so beloved.
