Herkimer’s Brave Rescue Brings New Life To Abandoned Dog
UPDATE; Dumped Dog in Herkimer County has been rescued and is receiving good care, love and now has a new name! Earlier this week we reported the story of a dog that was dumped outside of the Herkimer County Humane Society. Watch the heartbreaking video below.
Following the dumping of the dog, the Herkimer County Humane Society indicated that the pup was staying in the area but crossing back and forth. They set a trap in the hope of rescuing the dog. What kind of a person would just leave their dog behind, on the side of the road? Here is the video of the dog being left behind.
On Tuesday, according to a post on the Herkimer County Humane Society Facebook page, the dog has been rescued and she now has the name Journey, because surviving what she’s been through and getting her to safety was anything but simple, it was a journey.
