Sad News for Bagel Fans, Moonrise Won’t Reopen Kingston Pop-Up
Moonrise Bagels Makes Announcement about Kingston Pop Up
Towards the end of December 2025, when the bone-chilling cold weather blew through the Hudson Valley, Moonrise Bagels made an announcement regarding one of their locations.
The Moonrise Bagels team shared that their Kingston pop-up shop, located at 746 Broadway, would be temporarily closed because it was just too cold for their staff.
The Moonrise team assured customers at the time that the closure was a "simple winter break" and that they would return in the spring.
Well, the spring is here and there's been an unfortunate update. Moonrise Bagels shared on social media that the Kingston location will be permanently closed.
They share "We'll be open one last day with some fun giveaway moments."
The Moonrise Bagels Kingston pop-up's last day will be April 25th, 2026 between 8 am and 12pm. We'll keep you updated with more details as they come in. But there is some good news for stuffed bagel fans.
Moonrise Bagels Goes All-Stuffed at 3 Locations
Moonrise Bagels, for those who might not know, are known for their incredible stuffed bagels.
We're talking freshly made bagels stuffed with pizza toppings, BEC(bacon, egg and cheese), buffalo chicken, chicken parm, and other fillings that will have your mouthwatering.
They also sell unstuffed bagels too. But now Moonrise is going all in.
They write:
We’re officially going all-in on stuffed bagels.
Moonrise explains that their Kingston pop-up location was the only location that offered "just the stuffed" bagels.
The post continues "Now we’re bringing it full circle, to Woodstock, where Moonrise first began."
In May 2026, all Moonrise locations will have "100% stuffed bagels, no more unstuffed bagels" and they will have an espresso bar, plus you can customize the seeds on your bagels. New drops will also be on the way! So while we're sad to see the Kingston location go, we're happy to hear it's leaving its legacy on the 3 standing Moonrise Bagel locations.
Where Can You Get Your Moonrise Bagels Fix?
Moonrise Bagels is taking New York by storm! They currently have 3 locations. The original Moonrise Bagels is located in Woodstock at 68 Tinker St.
The 2nd Moonrise location is sitting pretty, right across the street from Marist University at 26 Winslow Gate in Poughkeepsie.
In early December 2025 Moonrise opened their first New York City location at 58 W 8th St, in Greenwich Village.
The NYC location has been booming since they opened their doors being a hot spot for influencers and even getting noticed by Good Morning America and The Drew Barrymore Show.
