Well, if you were in western Ulster County earlier this week, chances are you saw the celebration. Ellenville now has a Tops Friendly Market.

On Monday, the community of Ellenville welcomed a new grocery store, Tops Friendly Market. This new store is a welcome sight for the community that lost the Shoprite in 2024, which used to be in this same location. From the looks of the line waiting to go in on opening day, I am going to guess that most people were excited to check it out and check out some deals.

Back in April, the news broke that Ellenville would be getting a new grocery store. Fast-forward to this past Monday, and TOPS Friendly Market delivered on its promise to open in June. The doors are open, and the shelves are stocked with valuable deals.

I have been a Tops Markets shopper since my Stop N Shop converted many years ago. I shop at the Tops in New Paltz. I have enjoyed many perks from being a Tops shopper. I regularly earn gas cards from my purchases with my Tops Bonus Card.

Over the years, that Bonus card has also won me some of the prizes that Tops offered as part of their programs, including, most recently, their Monopoly game. I realize that all grocery stores offer incentives, but in my opinion, Tops has a very successful program when it comes to saving money and bonus prizes.
