Spackenkill Grad Performs National Anthem at Yankee Stadium

Performing the National Anthem in front of any crowd has to be a bit nerve wracking. But the pressure is on even more when you hit the diamond at Yankee Stadium.

Then, throw in the fact that it's the week of America's 250th birthday and the pressure skyrockets.

Sounds a bit stressful, right? Not for one local Hudson Valley singer. Earlier this week, recent Spackenkill High School graduate, Caroline Sottile performed the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium.

Sottile knocked it out of the park! The Yankees showed their appreciation for the performance on their Instagram:

Sue Serino Celebrates Local Singer After Yankee Stadium Performance

Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino to share her excitement after the performance.

Serino writes "I am absolutely bursting with pride for one of our very own!" She went on to congratulate Sottile on the performance adding that Caroline has performed at many of the County Executives events.

To see her go from our local stages right here in Dutchess County to the big leagues in the Bronx is just magical.

Hudson Valley Grads in the National Spotlight

Tyler Adams, a Roy C Ketcham High School graduate, has been representing for the Hudson Valley and Team U.S.A. during the 2026 World Cup.

Yahoo Sports reports that Adams is "key to USMNT’s success." Yahoo commentators were nervous during USMNT's game against Bosnia when Adams appeared to have gotten hurt.

After the incident they said "if Tyler Adams is not healthy and fully fit, they cannot do what they wanna do."
