Stewart’s Shops on a ‘Lucky’ Streak in Upstate New York

Powerball Winners in New York

Earlier this month, millions of Powerball players were dreaming about winning the second-largest Powerball jackpot of all time. Topping out at $1.79 billion, the Saturday, September 6th, 2025 Powerball jackpot had many of us running out to our favorite lottery stores to purchase tickets that could change our lives.

Unfortunately for New York players, there were two winning Powerball tickets sold that matched all six numbers drawn, but none in New York. Texas and Missouri were the lucky states this time, but thankfully, New York was lucky for some players as two million-dollar winners were sold.

Million Dollar Winner in the Hudson Valley

A $1 million winner was sold at a Long Island cigar shop located in Williston Park, NY, and another was sold at the ShopRite grocery store in Monticello, NY. Both tickets match five of the six numbers drawn to win the second-place prize.

There were also twenty third-place winners across New York who matched five of the six numbers drawn, along with the Powerball.

Stewart's Shop Sells Winning Powerball Tickets

Three of the third-place winners for the September 6th drawing were sold at Stewart's in the Hudson Valley and stores in Upstate New York. One was sold at the Stewart's Shop off of Route 9 at 3648 Albany Post Road in Poughkeepsie, NY. The others were sold at Stewarts in Chatham and Waterville, NY.

Stewart's is also responsible for selling six other third-place prizes worth $50,000 in the last 30 days, according to WTEN. Back on August 11, 2025, a winning ticket was sold at the Stewart's on North Greenbush Road in Troy, NY. On August 18, 2025, a third-place winner was sold at the Stewarts located at 1859 Route 9 in Clifton Park, NY.

They also sold winning tickets for the August 25, 2025, drawing at the store located at 977 State Route 149 in Lake George, NY, and three winners for the September 1, 2025, drawing at stores in Mechanicville, Troy, and Saratoga Springs, NY.
