Anti-Semitic Action Caught on Video During Fishkill Community Event

Every year, as the weather starts to warm up, the Village of Fishkill hosts its annual Fishkill Block Party.

They close down Main Street for local vendors, live music and family fun for everyone. This years event was held on Saturday May 30th, 2026.

It looked like things went off without a hitch in Fishkill Saturday night. However a video posted from the event caught a hateful moment on camera.

In the video, which has been recently taken down, there are 2 individuals doing a viral TikTok dance. That's when an male subject walks into frame and appears to display the Nazi Salute.

Zainab Newsome posted the video to her Facebook page and asked if anyone could identify the man in the video. The community reacted immediately.

Newsome explains that the person in the video has been identified and she believes "in letting the proper authorities do their job."

The Facebook update adds:

Hate has no home here in Dutchess County or anywhere in the USA. We will not stand for it.

Fishkill Officials Release Statements Regarding Block Party Video

The Village of Fishkill shared a statement after their Board of Trustees meeting on June 1st, 2026.

During the meeting Mayor Martin made a statement regarding the video stating the following:

The Village of Fishkill stands firmly against antisemitism, bigotry, racism, and hatred in all their forms.
Acts of prejudice and intolerance have no place in our community.
Our strength comes from the diversity of our residents, and from the shared values of respect, dignity, and inclusion that unite us.

The statement goes on to "condemn any actions or rhetoric that target individuals because of their faith, ethnicity, race, national identity or background."

Additionally, The Town of Fishkill also made a statement with the same sentiments.

They write:

While this isolated act did not define the event or diminish the overwhelming spirit of community, friendship, and celebration that characterized the evening, its appearance on social media understandably generated concern and prompted widespread condemnation from members of the public.

Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino "Appalled" By Hatred Caught on Camera

Shortly after those statements were released, Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino also reacted to the video.

The Dutchess County Executive states " I was appalled to see the video circulating from the Fishkill Block Party of an individual making a disgusting and anti-Semitic gesture" She also adds:

I roundly condemn this conduct and it has no place in Dutchess County

Serino goes on to applaud the community for coming together and condemning the act writing:

I am proud to see so many members of our community speaking out against this hateful act.
