
Wild Weapon-Filled Fight Outside McDonald’s in Upstate New York
A violent fight involving multiple weapons outside a McDonald’s in Upstate New York has landed three local men behind bars facing felony charges.
Weapon-Filled Fight Outside McDonald’s in Cairo, NY
According to New York State Police, it all started at approximately 4:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on Route 32 in the town of Cairo, NY.
Police said troopers were dispatched to the McDonald's after receiving reports that a fight was in progress outside the fast food restaurant.
Upon arrival troopers said that three men allegedly approached a 43-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman with a baseball bat, metal pipe, and hammer, leading to a physical altercation.
Both victims, who were not identified by police, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were evaluated at the scene. Officials said both refused any further medical treatment.
Three Men Arrested in Greene County, NY
Following an investigation, police arrested 31-year-old Michael W. Martin of Durham, 34-year-old Joseph Holloway of Cairo, and 29-year-old Cody Holloway of Cairo.

Police didn't say what led to the altercation but did say that each of the suspects was charged with various offenses. Holloway was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
Suspects Charged
Michael W. Martin was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of second-degree menacing.
Cody Holloway was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
All three suspects were arraigned in Cairo Town Court. Joseph Holloway and Martin had bail set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond or a $100,000 partially secured bond.
Cody Holloway had bail set at $50,000 cash, $150,000 bond or a $200,000 partially secured bond. All three are expected back in court on May 29th, 2026.
