This One's For The Dogs: The Girl Scouts Introduce New Dog Treats

Who doesn't like a Girl Scout Cookie? From Thin Mints to Samoas, Tagalongs, and Trefoils, the Girl Scouts know what they're doing when it comes to cookies.

This year, however, they're adding a new cookie to the mix and it's not for us humans. This one is for the pups!

The Girl Scouts of America have announced: Patch Pals.

They write on their website:

From the wonder of earning her first Animal Care badge to a wonderful day helping out at the animal shelter, Girl Scouts have always loved our furry friends. Now, they’ve got a new way to share the fun with Patch Pals™, the first ever Girl Scout Cookie for dogs!

Patch Pals will be available "exclusively through online ordering" starting January 12th, 2027.

Now you and your pup can enjoy the deliciousness known as Girl Scout Cookie season together, treat your pup to these "soft, chewy blueberry muffin-inspired treats" known as Patch Pals.

Are There Any New Girl Scout Cookies For Humans This Year?

Of course the Girl Scouts aren't going to leave out cookies for the humans! This year the new Girl Scout Cookie is a first.

The Girl Scouts are introducing the first-ever allergy-friendly Gril Scout Cookie called: Girl Scout Sparkables.

According to the press release, Sparkables are an "allergy-friendly, crunchy oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles that create opportunities for families navigating the most common food allergies to join in the fun of Girl Scout Cookie season."

The Sparkables cookies are baked in a facility that is designed to "avoid the nine major food allergens" that includes wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, sesame, soybean, crustacean shellfish and fish.

Retired Girl Scout Cookies

Thankfully, all of our favorite Girl Scout Cookies are coming back. However, we weren't so lucky last year.

Back in 2025, The Girl Scouts of America announced that 2 cookies wouldn't return in 2026. Those 2 cookies were: Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S'mores.

Shortbread cookies are always a win. This Girl Scout Cookie was dipped in chocolate and it also had a friendly message on it. It had the words "Thank You" on it.

Ole Oles

These powdered sugar cookies were delicious. They also had pecans and coconut mixed in and were reduced fat.

Lemon Chalet Creme

This was one of my favorite lemon cookies to ever exist. How could a lemon sandwich cookie ever go wrong? The added cinnamon and ginger made it one of a kind.

Juliettes,

I remember that these cookies were named after the founder of The Girl Scouts, Juliette Low. It reminded me of a chocolate turtle with its being covered in caramel, pecans and milk chocolate.

Ra Ra Raisens

This was unlike your ordinary raisin cookie. This Girl Scout Cookie brought in oatmeal and yogurt chips with the raisins.

Savannah Smiles

This Girl Scout Cookie knew how to put a smile on your face. They were lemon wedge cookies with powdered sugar.
