What's Filming at Raccoon Saloon in Marlboro, New York?

If you find yourself driving on Route 9W in Marlboro this week, you may see something that seems out of place.

Chances are you will see what looks like things for a movie or television set and there's a reason for that.

According to reports there will be production crews on hand to film a new show at Raccoon Saloon in Marlboro. Raccoon Saloon shared the following image on social media this week:

While we were doing some digging, trying to figure out what exactly what would be filming, Raccoon Saloon read our minds and shared another image:

And there you have it. God of The Woods will be using Raccoon Saloon as some part of their set on September 9th and 10th, 2026.

So if you were planning on visiting for one of their delicious burgers, you may want to reschedule for this weekend.

God of The Woods: New Netflix Series Filming Across Upstate, New York

In May of 2026 we started to see casting calls show up across the Hudson Valley, mainly in the Orange County area.

The casting call at the time was looking for kids ages 8 to 16 for "summer camp scenes for a new 1970s thriller."

At the time the project was called The Woods. As we learned more, we found out that Netflix was creating a series based off of the book by Liz Moore called God of The Woods.

In the book a camper goes missing at an Upstate, New York summer camp back in 1975.

The camper that went missing is also the daughter of the family that owns the camp and there was a similar situation years prior at the same camp.

God of The Woods takes place in the Adirondacks and across the Hudson Valley. Needless to say, using the Hudson Valley as a backdrop is a fantastic idea.

Netflix reports that Stranger Things Star, Maya Hawke, will be playing the character of Judy, a female investigator who takes the missing camper case head on.

There's no release date yet, but we're hoping for more news in 2027.
