How Late is Too Late to Stay Out on The Town?

I've been listening to Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast for the last year and there's one point that Amy makes often that I feel deep within my soul.

Staying out late sucks.

Poehler emphasizes often how she doesn't like staying out late and that being in bed by 9 pm perfect. The comedian states that concerts should start in the late afternoon and early evening.

I have to tell you, I agree with her 100%. What do you mean the show starts at 8:45 pm? That's when I'm getting my bedtime routine started.

Anyway...

The folks at The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock must feel the same way, because they're brining an interesting event to the region in June.

Call it an Early Night at The Bearsville Theater

The Bearsville Theater added an event to their calendar that piqued my interest, especially with my 9:30pm bedtime.

It's called Early Ones Only For The 30+ Crew. They say it's "The Party That Doesn't Ruin Tomorrow."

According to the events page the party stars at 5 pm and run until, wait for it, 9 pm. What. A. Dream!

I don't know about you, but this sounds like the perfect night out for a millennial.

Hudson Valley Millennials, This One Is For You!

They write "Welcome to the dance party for the people who still want to go out, just not at midnight." The description goes on to say:

If you’re 30+, you know the deal: we still love to scream-sing and sweat on the dancefloor, we’d just prefer to be in bed before the birds are.

The Early Ones Only event will have "music that raised you, pop bangers, indie disco nights, blog-era anthems, guilty pleasures we're not ashamed of anymore..." and you get to enjoy it all before 9 pm.

Don't miss the party Friday June  26th, 2026. Tickets are available now for Early Ones Only at etix.com.

Should more of these parties make their way into the Hudson Valley or is that too early to party for you?
