Fox’s “Best Medicine” Renewed For Season 2, Will Filming Return to the Hudson Valley?

The Hudson Valley: Home To Best Medicine on Fox

Over the last few years, the Hudson Valley has become the "it" place for television and movie productions to call home.

In May of 2025 it was announced that Fox would be bringing a new production to the area called Best Medicine. It was billed as an hour-long medical comedy, based off the UK series Doc Martin.

Best Medicine would star Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer and Annie Potts and would film with Choice Films based in Orange County, New York.

By August 2025, yellow signs started popping up across Dutchess County indicating that filming was starting. Turns out it was Best Medicine filming on site near New Hamburg train station and Bowdoin Park.

Filming wrapped around November and Best Medicine premiered in January 2026.

Best Medicine Season 2: Coming Back to the Hudson Valley?

Viewers gravitated towards the new Fox comedy. The numbers were in and Best Medicine was a hit!

According to Deadline, Best Medicine was Fox's "most streamed debut in nearly 3 years" with 10.8 million viewers. Deadline explained:

 "That marks a promising commencement for the new comedy drama, which Fox also says has generated about 1 billion minutes viewed across its first two episodes."

With that being said, Deadline is now reporting that Best Medicine is officially back for a season 2!

Deadline adds "The news comes as no surprise."

the comedic small town medical drama starring Josh Charles had been considered a lock for renewal with potent, consistent week-to-week delivery.

Amazon Christmas Movie Begins Filming Across New York

There's never a dull moment here in Hollywood on The Hudson.

In February 2026, the Poughkeepsie Galleria was decked out in holiday decorations and a North Pole set up in Center Court. The rumor mill was working overtime.

So, we did some digging.

We found out that Amazon was filming a new Christmas movie across the region with Choice Films. It's called Clashing Through The Snow and it's a modern spin on Planes Trains and Automobiles.
