This month's Vets Who Rock recipient is an organization that is working to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing veterans after their military service ends.

From preventing homelessness and reducing veteran suicide to connecting veterans and their families with critical support services, the Veterans Resiliency Coalition is making a difference throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Every month, 101.5 WPDH, MHA of Dutchess County and Mid-Hudson Pump shine a spotlight on a different veteran organization and donate $500 to help them continue their work. This month, we've selected Veterans Resiliency Coalition for their commitment to helping veterans build stronger, more stable futures.

Veterans Resiliency Coalition is a nonprofit organization focused on providing resources, counseling, community support and advocacy for veterans and their families. The group works to address issues that can often arise after military service, including mental health struggles, housing insecurity and the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life.

One of the organization's key missions is suicide prevention. Through outreach, support services and community engagement, Veterans Resiliency Coalition helps connect veterans with the resources they need before a crisis occurs. The organization also works to strengthen family support systems and create opportunities for veterans to build meaningful connections with others who understand their experiences.

The group's work extends beyond direct support services. Veterans Resiliency Coalition also hosts events throughout the year to raise awareness and funding for veteran programs. One of their biggest upcoming events is the 10th Annual All White Affair & Veterans Resiliency Awards Gala, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, at the historic Bear Mountain Inn. The fundraising event will honor 15 veterans and first responders while raising money to support the coalition's mission. Grammy and ASCAP Award-winning vocalist Clayton Bryant and The Resiliency Band are scheduled to perform during the evening.

As the organization continues to grow, its focus remains the same: helping veterans overcome challenges, connect with resources and build stronger tomorrows for themselves and their families.

101.5 WPDH, MHA of Dutchess County and Mid-Hudson Pump are proud to present Veterans Resiliency Coalition with $500 to help support their work with veterans in the Hudson Valley. You can learn more about them at the Veterans Resiliency Coalition website.
