Local Robbery Suspect Captured After Three Years on the Run

The fourth and final suspect in a 2022 robbery that took place locally in Pleasant Valley has finally been caught, after evading law enforcement for more than three years. A press release from the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the subject who was said to be involved in a 'violent' home robbery during the summer of 2022.

A home invasion and robbery that took place more than three years ago was referred to as 'complex' during the preliminary investigation, and initially, a limited amount of information was released to the public. It was alleged that during the 2022 incident, 'thieves took money and law enforcement considered the robbery deliberate.'

Then 47-year-old Marlon Washington was identified as the first suspect in the incident, arrested in November of 2022 on charges of robbery, burglary, kidnapping, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy. In March of 2023, the same charges were imposed on then 22-year-old Jimy Peraltamarte. 47-year-old Miguel Lora was charged in April of 2023 with two counts of robbery and burglary, yet there was still one unidentified subject involved in the crime that was not able to be located.

All three of the men arrested initially were said to be Poughkeepsie residents.

Fourth Suspect Finally Identified in 2022 Home Invasion in Pleasant Valley

In a press release on Tuesday, November 4th, The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of the fourth suspect in connection with the violent home invasion and robbery in Pleasant Valley.

Yefry Y. DeJesus was identified as the final suspect involved with the situation that took place in July of 2022, and is said to have 'fled the area following the crime.'

Following a lengthy multi-jurisdictional investigative effort, Detectives from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office developed information identifying the suspect’s whereabouts in the state of Florida. Working in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Hudson Valley, DeJesus was tracked and apprehended at a residence in Miami, Florida by Special Agents out of HSI Fort Lauderdale.

DeJesus is currently being held in Dutchess County Jail following his extradition from Florida to New York, and awaiting court proceedings.
