The New York DEC Urges Parents: Do This Now
It's only January, but the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is already giving parents the heads up on what they can expect this summer.
Kids seem to have an endless supply of energy, and while they may do much of their turbo-charged playing outside of the house during the school year, summertime presents a unique challenge for many Hudson Valley households. That's the primary reason the NYS DEC wants your attention now.
Summer Camp with the New York State DEC
There are plenty of summer options when it comes to youth camps, but anyone with a child that has a love for adventure should check out what the NYS DEC summer camps have to offer. From archery and canoeing to fishing, hiking, and even overnight trips, any young person with a wild side can have the time of their lives. This is exactly the reason why the DEC is telling parents about camp in the middle of January.
When to Register for New York State DEC Summer Camp
"Online registration for the 2024 Summer Camps program will open Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 1 p.m., the NYS DEC recently posted on Facebook. "Parents and guardians are encouraged to register early since many weeks fill up quickly". As they say, the early bird gets the worm; something your child may literally see in real-life if you're quick enough to reserve a spot for them at camp. Here are the details:
What to Expect at a New York State DEC Summer Camp
